The Government of Botswana has appointed a local software development agency, Xavier Africa, after a competitive bidding process, to lead the design and development of a Communications Channel Manager (CCM) for the Public Service. The CCM is designed to be a key part of the government’s technology infrastructure, with the aim of speeding up the communication process between government departments, as well as between government and citizens. In addition to proof-of-concept mockups and a detailed technical requirements document, Xavier Africa also created a prototype of the CCM system which was selected as the best company to execute the project based on its past experience in developing this type of application.
This appointment is one of many that Xavier Africa has received in recent months related to its role in helping governments push forward with their e-government initiatives.”
